Kishori Club: Empowering Girls through Health and Education

The Kishori Project is part of a larger initiative called Project Kishori, dedicated to supporting young girls’ health and hygiene needs. Through a holistic approach, the Kishori Program aims to empower adolescent girls by addressing menstrual hygiene and fostering a supportive community around women’s health.

Here are the five key objectives of the Kishori Project Mission:

Increasing Menstrual Awareness
The Menstrual Hygiene Program is a core part of the Kishori Program. It focuses on spreading knowledge about menstruation, hygiene practices, and health issues. By educating adolescent girls, Project Kishori ensures that young women are equipped with the information they need to manage their periods with dignity and confidence. Through this Women Hygiene Program, girls are encouraged to take control of their health and well-being.
Organizing Health Camps

The Kishori Project regularly organizes Women Health Awareness Programs and health camps for adolescent girls. These camps include medical consultations, health check-ups, and interactive sessions led by healthcare professionals. By making healthcare accessible to girls, particularly in underserved communities, the Kishori Project Mission ensures that girls stay informed about their health and hygiene. This is essential for their participation in broader girls’ education programs and other initiatives that focus on personal growth and development.

Access to Health Resources

One of the primary goals of the Kishori Club is to ensure that girls have access to essential health resources. This includes the distribution of feminine hygiene kits as part of the Feminine Hygiene Program. These kits, containing sanitary products and information on proper hygiene, play a crucial role in helping girls manage their menstrual health. Through the Women’s Health Care Program, the club also provides other necessary health supplies to improve the overall well-being of the participants.

Spreading Awareness in the Community

Kishori Clubs not only focus on the girls but also aim to raise awareness within their families and communities. The Kishori Program conducts workshops and events to dispel myths and misconceptions about menstruation. By addressing the cultural stigma, the Women Empowerment Programs embedded in the Kishori Project Mission are helping to build a more supportive environment for girls to thrive.

Providing a Platform for Open Discussion

Kishori clubs for girls, particularly in schools, serve as a safe and supportive environment where girls can openly discuss issues related to menstruation, health, and even mental well-being. These Kishori clubs in schools allow young women to feel comfortable sharing their experiences and concerns. This aspect of the Kishori Program is closely linked with women empowerment programs that aim to break the silence and stigma surrounding menstruation
