Abraham Lincoln the 16th President of the United states of America once said “ If you want to test a man’s character, then give him the power “ . Almighty created Adam and Eve , with his miraculous powers and decided to give life on planet Earth. Almighty has the power to do this . We as his children should believe that the two genders are equal , and that is where our power lies. Our power and duty lies in fostering both in the wonders of Nature. But we seldom do this.
It is a state of agony when we differentiate men and women , boys and girls based on gender . This leads to biaseness . It is a common notion that men are superior to women. Unequality exists between the two, leading to hate and lack of respect at various stages of life, whether at home or work.
Men by means of their physical strength tend to believe that women are weaker to them . This is a very common notion where education has not yet cultured the minds of men. Fertile minds consider a more humane aspect of life where men believe that women are a symbol of respect and have a larger role to play in society and not just something used for generating a progeny. In some parts of the World, men not educated yet believe that women are equal to them .
Power comes when we empower some one else to lead his or her life . Power is not when we dominate others and make them work according to our whims and fancies. This paper deals about the empowerment of women that can lead to a better future.
First of all , Men in society have to understand that women came as a decision of Almighty. It is important to prioritize any decree of Almighty above all. This naturally gives girls and women the protection from dominance of men. Secondly , wherever there is subjugation of women , men must realize that we both are children of Almighty and should treat each other with utmost love and respect. This kind of an ideology nurtures harmony ,peace and order. We have no right to disobey Almighty. Humans must surrender unto the Lord in our full regards. We must treat our fellow beings with compassion.
We must surrender ourselves to the will of the Lord and become like children who share the love of the Almighty, just as the Almighty loves us eternally. Love and compassion will create a more humane world where everyone treats each other equally. We must know that charity begins at home.
Many have often said that society should respect women, but to no avail. Society has historically treated women with an inferior notion, with men often leading the group. It is crucial for us to realize that women are highly capable and competitive individuals. We must promote women empowerment for their welfare.
Many a times they have out shown Men in an equivalent work that they are given. Society must give them a fair chance of performance. Instead of treating them in a derogatory manner , societies must trust their capabilities and give them a chance to volunteer themselves for higher positions and work roles. This way we can empower them for a better future. Girls and women represent half of the world’s population , but there is gender inequality that hinders social progress.
Empowerment means people having power and control over their lives. Empowering women means they are respected and treated as equal beings in the society. Women now a days have achieved higher positions in different fields like education, NGOs, social welfare, science and space, Engineering, Business, Finance, politics etc.. Despite this achievement , women continue to get exploited by Men.
Women’s health is a serious concern. Girls as they reach the age of maturity begin to mensuration , they must be given the right education that can prevent girls feel blemished about their situation.
They must be acknowledged about the violence that takes place when they are exposed to work place. Girls must be given the right information about their rights and responsibilities that can prevent them getting exposed to any illegal behavior in which they feel that their rights as a human being are violated. They must be made courageous about dealing with their fellow men.
Girls must be promoted in social welfare and sports activities . Women must be given various work positions where they feel the freedom to take decisions and lead a group. During child birth , biases must not be made regarding boy or a girl and the family must be supported to raise their children if it comes from a poor background.
Girl child must be given equal rights along with the boy child. They must be educated equally. One such NGO that is working in direction of women empowerment is Prazna Foundation which is maintained by Mrs. Preeti Sharma, they are taking women’s empowerment initiatives to educate girls and provide information about girl hygiene
Women empowerment NGOs must be developed in different cities and they must be supported to take initiative in women empowerment.
Girls and women represent a large population . They must be given initiatives to take lead in different kinds of work and they must be groomed to be able to compete with men. Women’s empowerment initiatives must make a pledge to increase the amount of women participation in different fields and in different regions of the world. That can promise a bright future for the entire community.
This make women empowerment crucial for the future as it can be a reflection of the kind of people we have and what moral values they have. It is also a significant indicator of how men behave and treat women in the society. We must strike the chord to create the right balance in the lives of men ,women and children that can help in generating a sustainable living.
