AtAt Prazna Foundation, we celebrate every new beginning, including New Year 2025, with love, compassion, and kindness. Akshar Kaksha is a project of our NGO, where we provide child education to children who live in slums and come from an underprivileged background. We commit to nurturing the children and spreading warmth and joy among the students of Akshar Kaksha. Along with academics, we focus on instilling basic life skills, emphasizing the importance of manners, hygiene, and respectful behavior.
The celebration of New Year 2025 began with a heartfelt prayer, setting a positive tone for the year ahead. As they joined their hands, the environment was filled with their innocence and pure hearts. Sweets were distributed, which put a beautiful smile on their faces, as children love sweets. To make the celebration even more special, we distributed drawing kits and board games to encourage creativity and learning. Their excitement reached new heights with these thoughtful gifts. The sparkle in their eyes was enough to tell us that these tokens of love had made the beginning of their New Year special, which truly made our hearts smile.
Health and safety are always a priority at Prazna Foundation, and this celebration was no exception. We also distributed first aid kits to ensure the safety of our Akshar Kaksha students. This small but crucial gesture supports our mission to take care of every part of their lives, ensuring they are safe and healthy, both physically and mentally. This meaningful act was like a reminder that while joy and celebration matter, so does taking care of their health and safety.
This celebration was more than just distributing items, it was about seeing these children smile, laugh freely, and enjoy those moments.
At Prazna Foundation, we believe that education extends beyond books, and it is crucial to ensure the overall development of children. It’s important that their skills get enhanced, they learn teamwork, and have a sense of togetherness. We organize self-defense camps and Yoga Camps for students of Akshar Kaksha to learn these essential skills, which will help them protect themselves and boost their confidence. Yoga and meditation camps were organized by ‘Art of Living’ teachers. They taught the children many valuable lessons about health and the benefits of practicing yoga and meditation daily. They also emphasized the importance of having proper meals and chanting the ‘Bhojan Mantra’ before eating. We organize sports day, drawing competitions, and various other activities for our Akshar Kaksha students. We believe these activities, along with studies, nurture a child’s mind, encouraging them to think creatively and showcase their skills and capabilities.
Besides Akshar Kaksha, we also have one more project on which we are actively working, which is Project Kishori. In this project, we conduct awareness workshops to educate women about hygiene and health. We also distribute hygiene kits containing essential products required to maintain hygiene during menstruation. We also conduct these sessions at our Akshar Kaksha, so the girl students of Akshar Kaksha, do not lack the proper knowledge of maintaining health, hygiene, and proper disposal of sanitary items.
