Discover Art, Poetry, and More: Inside Prazna’s Inspiring Funzart Program

Introduction

The Prazna Foundation, an education NGO in Jaipur, is fully committed to serving girls and women from underprivileged backgrounds. And It has made a significant impact on the lives of children who were once tormented by poverty. Yes, my dear readers, this is one of the noblest deeds that a human can do and Mrs Preeti Sharma, the founding member of Prazna foundation has done an outstanding work in this regard. It was started by Mrs Preeti Sharma on 25th May 2018 in Jaipur, to help underprivileged children and make them self-reliant. Prazna encompasses various activities through its ideology like Project Kishori, Akshar Kaksha, and Funzart. Prazna is one of the Best NGO in Jaipur. It has its own NGO website by the name prazna.org.

The Umbrella of the Prazna Foundation

The Prazna Foundation, through its Funzart program, creates a creative environment where children actively participate in various cultural activities related to art, poetry, and theater. This makes them learn and grow in a fun-filled environment. There are painting workshops, where children learn to paint and draw which helps them to highlight their creativity, then there are poetry sessions where they learn to explore themselves and make meaningful connections between words and their expressions.

Then there are theater sessions under the name Nukkad Natak that highlight contemporary issues along with entertainment. Art and craft sessions spark creativity in children, followed by cultural activities like dance performances and music nights in which children actively participate and enjoy.

Why Funzart is Important?

Funzart is a vital session in Prazna’s objective of holistic development of a child. Funzart improves the creativity in children and makes them self-sufficient. It is a kind of nonformal education that develops skills in children and makes them stress-free. Extracurricular activities are important for overall personality development. Prazna’s humble initiative is a major step in developing the overall persona of children from poor backgrounds.

The Power of Art in Education

Art plays a vital role in children’s education, enriching their talent in several ways. Children learn to be more creative, they use various kinds of artistic imaginations and assemble their thoughts to make something that is profound and has meaning to it. Art enlightens their creativity. It helps them to be more fun-loving and learn to work in teams. Art includes painting, dancing, singing, poetry theater etc.

Stress Relief through Creative Expression

Children at a young age are exposed to stress as they come from poor backgrounds. And this affects their growth and they remain under the burden of doing work, which even leads to child labor. This affects their learning and education and their personality is not developed. Children from poor backgrounds are unable to express themselves and they remain in darkness which makes them live in stress. With cultural activities, their stress is relieved and they grow in a healthy environment. Funzart is one such place where their stress is removed and they are exposed to a learning environment. This helps them to lessen their troubles and their personality is groomed.

Impact of Funzart

Funzart is not only an educational activity but also an art and craft activity. It brings out the hidden talent of a child and grooms the overall personality by giving the children an opportunity to showcase their hidden skills and talents. Funzart develops a sense of team spirit and discipline. It makes a child visionary. He or she can set their future goals that are constructive and for the betterment of the society. It gives the child an opportunity to earn self-respect.

Makes them feel that they lack nothing when it comes to their success. Funzart is very interactive in its objectives and it makes the child interactive as well. Art serves as a strong medium to communicate social issues such as poverty, gender inequality, environmental degradation, and human rights violations. Exhibitions, performances, and cultural events can engage the public, encouraging deeper understanding and empathy toward the causes of NGOs.

It can bring people together, promoting unity and solidarity. Community development projects, art workshops, and cultural festivals can create a shared sense of identity and pride, encouraging collective action.

Cultural programs organized by NGOs can enjoy diversity, promote equality, and break social barriers. By integrating various art forms, NGOs create platforms where marginalized voices can be heard, building a sense of inclusivity and belonging.
