The Essence of Akshar Kaksha

Akshar Kaksha is one of the main project of Prazna Foundation which devotes itself to educating as well as empowering the kids residing in the slum areas. No matter their origin, every child is ensured to be given the opportunity of basic education, moral values, and essential life skills. We intend to form an area where learning is not just hard but also joyous and meaningful. Hence, facilitating each child’s dreaming beyond his or her limitations.

To mark the Diwali 2025 , our  volunteers came together to make the day unforgettable for the kids. The festivities initiated by lighting diyas which acted as a symbol of the intense darkness being eradicated and the knowledge conquering the ignorance.

Festivities, Fun, and Learning

Diwali celebration turned out to be a great concoction of fun and creativity. The kids at one moment were dancing and singing, and they not only told their stories but the most their wish to take part was. The tiny dancers’ liveliness and confidence were all the more the reasons for the celebration moods. Besides, our volunteers were really able to arrange some games and activities that were for the kids but the grownups also managed to have fun.

The kids received their presents after the performances were done. Their laughter and smiles were the true reflection of the festival’s joy — the joy of giving and sharing. Volunteer used the moment as an occasion to enlighten children with the epic tale of Diwali. How Lord Rama made it back to Ayodhya after fourteen years of exile. How the festival came to signify the triumph of good over evil. The children were communicated with in a very simple yet gripping way about the light prevailing over darkness and the good winning over the bad.

This festival was not only a celebration but rather a learning opportunity about the deeper values of Diwali which are unity, thankfulness and compassion.
